    I had appendicitis a couple of years ago and I had it removed using open appendectomy, which confused me because this article (http://patient.info/health/appendicitis-leaflet) told me that it is done via keyhole, but I assumed it was wrong afterwards.

    If there's a shorter, less risky way to remove an appendix, why don't we do that in the UK?
