FSHD is not considered a fatal disease!

In some of the most extreme conditions one can have respiratory failures similar to ALS as a result of weakened pulmonary function, but on the contrary, FSHD is actually considered one of the more mild forms of MD.

It’s believed that epigenetic factors play a role in the wide variability of clinical presentations that are observed among patients.

Going forward, I respectfully recommend more research be undertaken prior to penning an article.  I expect sloppiness from reporters, not from those connected with the medical community.
