    The number of monkeypox cases is next to nothing compared to COVID at this point, and it's not nearly as contagious. Unfortunately, it seems people are more afraid of it than COVID because of media sensationalism.  If it's anything like COVID and turns into a pandemic, then sadly I'm sure people will tire of the coverage and claim it's no big deal. People need to do better forming a perspective of how likely something is to affect them. COVID is the biggest disaster since world war 2
