    Hi, there was a new definition published in The Journal of Internal Medicine this year:

    The 'International Consensus Criteria', based on the older

    Canadian Consensus Criteria:

    Since the definitions vary so widely in quality, I hope they are considering using a definition that requires a unique constellation of symptoms and signs rather than just prolonged fatigue.

    Depending on the definition, and the "purity" of the patients selected thereby, the quality of the studies will largely be determined.
