    Polyps were discovered at 3 years old because my breathing was labored, wheezing, and counting breaths due to their presence on and around my vocal cords since birth. They were so aggressive that they had to be removed every 3 months, a total of 18 times before I turned 7 years old. Additionally, I had them removed twice as an adult.
