    The evidence linking talc to ovarian cancer is extremely slight and since there are so many possible factors and causes of ovarian cancer it is impossible to prove conclusively that talc causes ovarian cancer!!

    First of all talc is not like asbestos at all – the mineralogy, crystallography and chemical composition is completely different.

    Secondly, talc producers take great precautions to ensure that the talc that they mine is free of asbestos minerals and all talc used for pharmaceutical, cosmetic and industrial uses is monitored to ensure it is asbestos-free.
