    Finally! As a 44 year old female anal cancer surviver (2 years - woo hoo!) it’s great to see this type of study undertaken that focuses on  women with previous HPV related pre-cancers. The biggest issue is the lack of training GP’s have with diagnosing this type of rare cancer. Based on my experience & research online it seems to be a very common story with Stage 3 & 4 anal SCC that many women were diagnosed with a hemorrhoid rather than a tumor. While this points to a lack of training, screening similar to a Pap Smear would be the ideal outcome from a study like this.
