The problem is that they're bullshitting about issues about addiction due to common social patterns and rabbit wholes that lead to hard drugs. Which is also conflated by the posters' need to be seen as right for "saying no to drugs".

The actual problem is that there is no scientific evidence to speak of they've drawn from. It's a puff piece to spin fear over a non addictive psycho active...

If weed spooks said poster of the article, wonder what they're going to misrepresent when it is LSD, MDMA, mescaline, salvia, peyoti, and the like.

Realistically it is articles written by people who spread this type of disinformation that I find unimpressive. On top of outright mucking it up due to their bad experience with said substance or the like.

The study doesn't say that cannabis was being smoked, just used.  It is very clear about smoking cigarettes, so that's an important distinction.  The study wouldn't use those distinct terms if cannabis was smoked by all participants.  Cannabis is taken in many different ways by many people, and a large amount of therapeutic cannabis isn't smoked.

The link is probably not because of delivery method, it's far more likely that it is because they are both plant derived.  All plants store chemical components in similar ways because of their very structure.

There needs to be a study on the effects of THC on genetics. The modality of delivery is definitely an important variable in any cannabis study.
