Heat does NOT kill demodex mites!  I live in South Texas and people get them in their cars and a car sitting in the sun can easily get 150-160 degrees! Heat does NOT kill them, not hot water, not dryers, not blow dryers, and not the sun! Wash your clothes with permethrin.  If that stops killing them, use bifen 7.9%. The best miticide is cedar oil but its very expensive!

Best to get your dermotologist to prescribe Stromectol/Ivermectin. 3 gram pills despensed according to your weight. They are Not covered anymore , are Only our of pocket, GoodRx is the way to go. Rite aid will treat you poorly,  go somewhere else

You are not alone. Unfortunately, I have had an extremely extensive experience with these things. For me it started out with just some reddish spots and then some itching and then I was in severe pain in every place I had was seeing on my body. After many visits to multiple doctors, then resorting to e.r.'s. And being told that it was all in my head.. I did a lot of trial & error and found that washing on and drying in hot, does NOTHING to kill mites. But if you use ivermectin pills or paste, and stay clean and keep your clothes and bedding clean as well and use dimethacone earth on your floors and furniture, for a few days. You can go on with a mite free life.
