    I am always surprised that we would think mouse models in the gut have any bearing on the omnivore/carnivore diet of humans.

    If we tested the immune system reaction to grass - on lions, we would not expect results that impact humans.

    Am I alone in this concern?

      You may be surprised to discover that mice have a similar genetic makeup to humans, and thus respond in similar ways to us to variation in things like diet.

      I am sure the use of mice will become outdated someday, but right now, they're pretty good models
