    The human brain is an amazing part the the anatomy. As the father of an autistic son who has had learning difficulties from a young age now surpasses everything I could have imagined. Yes the measure of how they view the world is different but he sees things and understands things that I miss completely. How do you measure intelligence not on a particular scale that a psychiatrist has purposed. My son's perceptiveness far outreaches my own and I would say superior intelligence in many areas. He notices fine details that I completely overlook...therefore I do not see autism as something like a disability but rather an extra ability to see things that other can't.
