    I am of Irish descent, my paternal grandfather was born in the County of Cavan in the Republic of Ireland, and I am a Carrier of Alpha One Antitrypsin Deficiency.....heterozygous MZ.
    No one knows who I got it from, but I highly suspect it came through my father....and he got it from my grandfather.
    Just my theory..
