While though it is pointed out that in Alzheimer’s memory changes lag behind MRI changes, it does not necessarily apply here. In Alzheimer’s the prospects are downhill for yet-unveiled pathology reasons. In perimenopause however, which is different from a fully established menopause, prospects are presumably better if the body's adaptation to hormonal deficit is allowed-when paraovarian estrogen synthesis( and unknown other physiologic compensation) occurs! This is actually one basic reason why such comparison studies should be made not at the early peri-menopause period, but much longer because in most women final postmenopause takes a decade to be fully established.
