    I suffered a horrible car crash at 17 that (as my neurosurgeon said) fully killed me for a bit, but he brought me back (fully believable, because neurosurgery textbooks agree) just so it would look good on his record.  Then I was in a coma for 40 days and 40 nights, during which I turned 18, and then I was in rehab for most of a year.  I saw a shrink during rehab just once; she couldn't find anything wrong.  No PTSD.  Ny MOTHER probably had some, but I went back to college the following semester.
