Hi, not sure if this is the right place to share this info but I have a small dog who suffered a brain seizure 12mths ago, after which it seemed all her nerve ends sensitive in that no longer able to stroke her back or anywhere the nerves foremost under skin surface. Two days before she got stung by a very small yellow scorpion indigenous to my area in the south of India (Pondicherry/Tamil Nadu). I administered antihistamine and the next day she was fine, no swelling of her foot. The strange thing is that since then I have been able to stroke her whole body without any sign of nerve pain - first time in a year and at a point when I actually had noticed it was getting worse. It has been two days and I'm keeping a check, but is it possible that the venom could have had an affect on the nerves other than what I had instinctively expected to be the opposite - ie. I imagine that she might have another fit, when in fact it appears her nerve discomfort has reduced. I don't know if this is helpful to anyone but I hope that maybe it is. My mum has multiple sclerosis and I wondered if it is the case that this could perhaps provide some relief that it may be something which could be developed to help all nerve affected illness.

    Thanks,   Louise
