    Caveat emptor! Retrospective studies cannot prove causality, they can provide strong evidence for and show the strength of an association between a disease and putative causative factors.
    In the absence of a properly designed and executed prospective study, i.e., randomly controlled trial, we cannot conclude School closures caused by COVID-19 may reduce life expectancy in U.S. children.

    The word 'may' in the article title is a tip off. It may or it may not. We just don't know.
