    I have had Type 1 diabetes since I was 2, am now 68.  Insulin cost .99 a bottle then and now costs several 100.00 without insurance.  Every purchase is an argument with Medicare.  Being  a diabetic is not a burden.  Dealing with non-diabetics in all aspects of staying alive is exhausting.  .
