1. Cathy Farrell Cathy Farrell United States says:

Part of the problem in the health industry is insurance.  Send a person home too soon after surgery, that person can get hurt.  Why did they send that person home too soon - insurance.  The cost of medication is seriously rising, and people will get to the point they can't afford their medication.  Some of these medicines are necessary to continue living.  But the pharmaceutical companies just don't care.  What is the problem - greed.  What happens when we lose Incentives to improve health.  Ever since insurance started paying for doctor visits, dental visits, vision, etc., the cost of those services rose tremendously.  No one feels guilty about charging too much. The insurance company is paying for it.  They will say the insurance company doesn't give them enough to make a profit.  I disagree.  I say greed is running the medical industry.  Doctors don't always do what is best for the patient.  They are doing what is best for the pharmaceutical companies.  The drug companies are making a fortune at our expense.  I keep hearing more and more serious medical problems with people.  Everyone has this and that condition not just a few.  It was rare when we heard about a certain person who had something serious such as cancer. Now it is rare if you don't know many people who have cancer or macular degeneration or autism and on and on.  Greed drives us instead of good common sense and caring about the welfare of others.  To tell you the truth people who run things don't really care if people die from these problems.  They think there are too many of us are on earth.  They don't really care if people get hurt in the process while they are making money at what they are doing.
