The advisory is based on previous flu pandemics whose main objective is to prevent exposure to the virus & allowing the deadly pathogen to continually survive & mutate in the environment. Pathogens are vulnerable on surfaces & they can readily be physically destroyed by simple cleaning & disinfection which is a lot safer with no side effects compared to expensive antiviral drugs. Our population is more urbanized, travel more conveniently, domestication of animals & food production is very different from previous years where flu pandemics occurred. Governments of affected countries should declare weekly or monthly cleaning & disinfection of public places. The sheer number of deaths & infections worldwide would suggest that indirect contact is the primary reason for transmission.It is quite simple, no pathogens no disease!
