Oh GREAT…..create more nurses to abuse!!!  I have been a Registered Nurse for 29 years and the stress and pressure put on ALL bedside personnel is beyond comprehension to the “outside world”.  It’s always been about cost cutting, budgets, and PRODUCTIVITY!  (I hate that word, BTW).  How is it that hospitals can put a budget on saving lives???  There is definitely something wrong with our human race.  We pay professional athletes MILLIONS of dollars per year, and yet we pay nurses, teachers, policemen, firefighters, etc. the bare minimum!!!!  It disgusts me. Most of us chose our profession because we are caring and empathetic individuals. When nurses graduate and get a taste of the real world of healthcare. they are literally in shock. It’s a tragedy.
