Apparently, there are forces within the EU who want to ban the e-cigarette.

It's enough to drive a man to drink. Or, as in my case (and with me, many others), enough to drive a man to smoke.

Let's face it: I was stupid enough to be a fairly heavy smoker for 40 years. I don't have the will power to really stop smoking. And not do I have the motivation. Many people only manage to give up smoking when it's 5 PAST 12... when something really bad has happened (aneurysms, emphysemia, cardiac arrests, what have you).
Nothing's been really wrong with me.
    Yet.
You may find that I lack a spine, and this may be true... but it's still a reality. And I am not the only one. But with the help of my trusty e-cigarette, I still manage to stop. And it didn't take a month before I started noting the positive effect on my well-being.

If the EU bans e-cigarettes, the net result is that many people will be driven back to burning tobacco, and accepting the consequences. Is that really what the legislators want?
I think that would be patently foolish.
