    The early detection of OCD in children exhibiting symptoms can definitely be of great impact.  But it is no panacea.  While there are multiple factors involved in the manifestation of OCD symptoms, OCD has been identified as a neurobiological condition.  This suggests a lifelong syndrome.  However, it does not have to result in a life of suffering.  CBT with Exposure therapy is the only proven form of treatment.  When applied correctly, progress is dramatic!
