Numerous enticing immunotherapies have emerged recently, thanks to advancements in cancer immunology. As a result of these advancements, the cancer treatment paradigm has evolved.
The immune system plays an important role in cancer treatment by stimulating innate and adaptive immune mechanisms and altering tumor immunogenicity.
Since the discovery of modified and dysregulated cytokine expression in all human cancers, it has become well-established that therapeutic strategies can augment the growth-inhibitory and immunostimulatory impacts of interferons and interleukins like IL-2, IL-7, IL-12, and IL-15 while inhibiting the inflammatory effects of cytokines such as TNF, IL-1 β, and IL-6.
The webinar will present a complete discussion of several cytokine therapy techniques, development, and clinical use. The webinar will also debate how Sino Biological can help with cancer immunotherapy research.
Key learning objectives
- Role of cytokines in the tumor microenvironment
- Clinical trials of cytokine therapy
- Clinical trials of cytokine receptor blockade
- Future directions of cytokine therapy
