Steps forward to extracellular vesicles direct analysis: from ultrasensitivity to handcrafted solutions

Webinar Date
  • Wed September 25, 2024
    11:00 AM 1 hour

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are membranous nano-sized biological particles released by cells that shuttle a high amount of molecular information, thus representing a significant source of biomarkers. However, challenges in isolating EVs from complex biological specimens combined with their heterogeneous nature are currently hindering translational applications. In this context, the session will cover the synergy of Simoa® ultrasensitive technology with membrane sensing peptides (MSP), a molecular technology specifically designed for EV investigation, as a solution that paves the way to translational applications of EVs in diagnostics.

Attend this webinar to:

  • Understand current challenges in EV analysis, with a focus on diagnostic scenarios
  • Appreciate the importance of a multidisciplinary vision to big problems
  • Discover peptides as a highly versatile molecular toolbox

Who should attend this event?

This webinar is aimed at Biomedical Scientists or researchers, Clinical Scientists, Clinical Lab Managers/Directors, Senior Scientists/ Clinicians, POC/ MD, R&D Scientists, those who are interested in biomarker discovery, biomarker translational and clinical applications, and/or interested in utilizing extracellular vesicles for therapeutic applications, and also Company CEOs, CSOs, or anyone in the procurement department who is involved in buying decisions.

About the webinar speaker:

Alessandro holds a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Milan, and he is currently a research scientist and group leader at the National Research Council of Italy in Milan; his research is devoted to the development of chemistry-based solutions for applications in biosciences, including the customization of analytical platforms and assays to detect pathology-related biomarkers; Recently, his efforts have been strongly focused on extracellular vesicles as emerging analytes towards liquid biopsy applications.
