The ADVIA® 560 and 560 AL Hematology Systems provide quick, accurate laboratory CBC testing. The systems were created with flexible and user-friendly options as a part of Siemens Healthineers’ family of scalable hematology analyzers to enable the ideal fit in every lab.
The ADVIA® 2120i Hematology System is the only system capable of fully automating the hematology lab without using large track-based systems, expensive stains, or reflexive testing. This is the way Siemens Healthineers provide the hematology lab with Practical Automation.
The systems are compact and reasonably priced and can be used as backup or stand-alone analyzers. The ADVIA 560 AL System has an optional autoloader to automate sampling, allowing it to respond quickly to the dynamic laboratory environment.
- Runs up to 60 samples per hour
- Simplifies efficient manual sampling of both open and closed tubes
- Measures 26 parameters and employs laser-based optical measurement to provide a five-part white blood cell differential
- Offers storage capacity for up to 100,000 results
- Provides the flexibility to add the autoloader to the ADVIA 560 System at any time
- Processes aspiration volumes as low as 110 µL

Assays
Technology
- Laser light scatter technology for five-part WBC differential
- Impedance method for CBC
- Light absorbance for HGB measurement
Parameters
A total of 26 parameters, including a five-part differential with two histograms and scattergrams for RBC and PLT: BASO, WBC, LYM, MON, NEU, EOS, BAS, LYM%, MON%, NEU%, EOS%, BAS%, RBC, HCT, MCV, RDW-SD, RDW-CV, HGB, MCH, MCHC, PLT, PCT, MPV, PDW-SD, PDW-CV, P-LCC, P-LCR.
Sample stability
The WBC, NEU%, NEU, LYM%, LYM, MON%, MON, EOS%, EOS, BAS%, BAS, RBC, RDW, and PLT absolute and percent differences from the baseline values, which are evaluated 30 minutes after venipuncture, are used to describe sample stability. The starting point for MPV is two hours following venipuncture. Seven hours after venipuncture, the expected stability is achieved.
Reagents
- Three cyanide-free reagents (Diluent, Lyse, and Cleaner)
