Maintenance-free cartridge system
The unique cartridge system from Nova comes with a maintenance-free MicroSensor Card™ that includes all sensors in a compact sensor card format with a snap-in, ready-to-use calibrator cartridge containing all reagents.
Available electrolyte profiles
- Na, K, Cl, iMg, iCa, pH* and Hct*
- One-minute stat testing
- Optional 10-position autosampler
- Accepts whole blood, serum, plasma, CSF*, urine* and dialysate* (dialysate is not meant for in-vitro diagnostic use)
*Not available in all markets
Maximum analyzer readiness and uptime
Always calibrated and ready
The Microsensor Card is invariably ready to deliver electrolyte profiles in just one minute and is automatically calibrated all through its 32-day use life. Individual cartridges provide a major advantage in analyzer uptime when compared to combined sensors and calibrator cartridge systems.
Clot Block™ protection
An exclusive Clot Block sample flow path has been developed to guard sensor cartridges against downtime and maintenance problems caused by the introduction of a clotted sample.
Safe, maintenance-free waste system
Biohazardous waste is fully self-contained inside the calibrator cartridge, preventing waste disposal maintenance and possible exposure.
True, liquid quality control (QC)
Federal government regulations (CLIA) in the United States are phasing out electronic equivalent quality control (EQC) and are demanding real, liquid-based quality control QC. The Stat Profile Prime analyzer combines true liquid QC as well as continuous electronic self-monitoring to assure uncompromised quality and laboratory accuracy.
QC prompting and QC lockout
The Stat Profile Prime analyzer offers an onscreen reminder of users’ customized QC schedule. The analyzer automatically flags out-of-range QC results, while a QC lockout feature, which is optional, prevents reporting of patient results during out-of-range QC.
Levey Jennings charts and QC statistics
Levey-Jennings charts combined with cumulative mean and CVs are automatically computed for each analyte and shown on the screen.

Safe, easy sampling from syringes, capillaries, tubes and cups
A special safety sample port protects users from making inadvertent contact with the sample probe and enables easy access to all sample containers.
Syringes can be docked and sampled with hands-free operation. Image Credit: Nova Biomedical
Samples can be aspirated directly from tubes, eliminating sample transfer to a syringe or capillary. Image Credit: Nova Biomedical

Compact size
The Stat profile Prime analyzer has a 12-inch footprint that takes up minimal bench space. It is so compact that it can be placed on a mobile cart for testing on several different sites.

Onboard printer
QC and patient results can be printed automatically or on-demand. The printouts can also show normal ranges for every test and flag results that surpass the normal range.
Plug-and-play connectivity to LIS/HIS
The Stat Profile Prime analyzer can be effortlessly linked to hospital information systems and laboratory information systems through ASTM format or industry-standard, unidirectional POCT1-A2 communication format.
Simple, fast operation

Easy-to-use, high definition, color touchscreen operation
The touchscreen can be easily operated through the use of simple and intuitive prompts and needs only minimal training.
Three simple steps
- Press “Start”
- Enter or scan patient ID
- Press “Aspirate”
Optional, integrated barcode scanner
Stat electrolyte results in one minute
Plasma, whole blood and serum stats are all available in just 1 minute. It is possible to aspirate whole blood stats directly from tubes, capillaries or syringes, saving sample transfer steps and time.
MicroSensor technology
All Stat Profile tests use the established Nova technology in a compact, sensor card format.

Complete electrolyte profile
Potassium, sodium, ionized magnesium, ionized calcium and chloride are all needed to sustain normal cardiac function. Any disruption in the balance of these electrolytes can lead to reduced cardiac contraction, cardiac arrhythmias and complete cardiac arrest.
The Stat Profile Primes analyzer is the only electrolyte system to enable a complete assessment of electrolyte balance.
