INTERFERin® can be applied to a broad range of adherent and suspension cells and offers a very high silencing efficiency at 1 nM siRNA. It is also simple to use because it is compatible with serum and antibiotics. INTERFERin® is ideal for transfecting miRNA and other oligonucleotides such as pre-miRNA, mimic miRNA, and antimiR.

- INTERFERin® 5 × 1 mL
Capabilities
Less siRNA, less off-target effects
According to publications, high siRNA concentrations during transfection may result in non-specific off-target effects. Using as little siRNA as possible can improve the reliability of the experimental data.
For this reason, INTERFERin® was created to use low siRNA concentrations to achieve high silencing efficiency. A competitor (L2K) requires at least 10 nM siRNA to achieve 50% silencing efficiency, whereas INTERFERin®-mediated delivery of 1 nM of a particular siRNA exhibits selective and highly effective knockdown of gene expression.

Suitable for miRNA transfection
The use of microRNA (miRNA) oligonucleotide transfection to examine the biological impacts of particular miRNAs on cell function is growing. The preferred reagent for delivering miRNA, miRNA mimics, or pre-miRNAs is INTERFERin®. The newest siRNA and miRNA transfection reagent, INTERFERin®, is specifically made for high transfection efficiency in many cells, leading to either high gene silencing or increased gene expression.
Certain miRNAs are also known to increase gene expression by binding to the target gene's promoter. For instance, E-Cadherin expression increases threefold when miR-373 is delivered via INTERFERIN®.

Over 90 % gene silencing
One nanometer of siRNA is enough to achieve over 90% gene silencing for a large number of adherent cell lines or primary cells. With 5 nM siRNA, INTERFERin® can still achieve 80% silencing for suspension cell lines.

Excellent cell viability
INTERFERin® performs better than other transfection reagents in terms of cell viability. Cells transfected with INTERFERin® show no signs of toxicity 48 hours after transfection with 1 nM siRNA, but reagent S clearly shows toxicity.

Easy standard protocol
Among transfection reagents, INTERFERin® performs better in terms of cell viability. While toxicity is evident with reagent S, cells transfected with INTERFERin® appear healthy 48 hours after transfection with 1 nM siRNA.

Key benefits:
- Efficienct: As little as 1 nM of siRNA can silence over 90% of genes in cells.
- Excellent cell viability: Mild mode of action for stronger evidence.
- Versatile: Fits well with other oligonucleotides and miRNA transfection.
