The HemataStat II™ from EKF Diagnostics is a microhematocrit centrifuge that delivers quantitative hematocrit readings for up to six blood samples in just a 60-second spin.
Hematocrit is the volume percentage (%) of red blood cells in blood. The measurement is taken as the amount of red blood cells in relation to the amount of plasma from a spun capillary or venous sample.
The HemataStat II™ is a versatile tool for both point-of-care and laboratory settings in clinics and hospitals. Its compact design, along with an optional battery pack, makes it an excellent choice for outreach programs and veterinary applications. Widely trusted in the industry, it is used in every plasma collection center across the US, offering straightforward hematocrit measurement and plasma fraction analysis for protein assessment. With a multilingual display and clear, step-by-step instructions, it ensures accurate and reliable results every time.
HemataStat II™ combines easy maintenance with a high degree of user safety. For example, heparinized ClearCrit® tubes are used to collect the blood sample and are available in plastic, Mylar® wrapped glass or self-sealing Mylar-wrapped glass. Two different diameter tubes are available for low and regular sample volumes.
The high-quality HemataSEAL® tube sealant seals both glass and plastic tubes equally well, removing the likelihood of leakages and blowouts and ensuring accurate and reliable results time after time.
One of the extra safety features is the premium HemataSEAL tube sealant. HemataSEAL guarantees consistent, accurate, and dependable results while removing leaks and blowouts.
