Lab Express to offer Blood Typing for $8

Local medical laboratory Lab Express is offering to help the public know their blood type. Forty percent of the general public doesn’t know their own blood type or that by knowing their blood type can help to save their life and the lives of others. During the month of September Lab Express is offering Blood Typing for $8, which includes a laminated medical card stating the patient's blood type to be carried with them in case of emergencies.

The process of identifying blood types is much more important than most people realize; it helps in not only in emergency situations but also in blood donating, health insurance, and even some high-risk recreation activities. Lab Express realizes the importance of this vital information, so to help promote public awareness they are offering this incredible value for $8.

“If you get in an accident and need blood, every moment counts and knowing your blood type can make a life–and–death situation easier because they can give you blood immediately instead of wasting time running a test,” said Scott Farrell, President of Lab Express.

While competing laboratory companies charge patients as much as $106 for the same test, Lab Express understands that laboratories have a larger community responsibility and they continuously strive to keep medical testing affordable. The next time consumers visit their doctor, they are encouraged to ask about learning their blood type.
