BioTuesday Publishing's news blog to focus on Canadian healthcare sector

BioTuesday Publishing Corporation, a division of Kilmer Lucas Inc., announced today its launch of an independent business and investing news blog, BioTuesday.ca, that will focus on exciting companies and technologies in the Canadian healthcare sector.

Today's inaugural blog post is a feature interview with Dr. George Adams, the Chief Executive Officer of Amorfix Life Sciences Ltd. (TSX:AMF) The piece focuses on Amorfix's development of treatments and diagnostics for brain wasting diseases and was written by veteran Canadian healthcare journalist, Leonard Zehr.

"One thing is clear to me - ever since Leonard retired from The Globe and Mail, there has been a noticeable void of traditional Canadian business media coverage of all but the very largest healthcare issuers," said Thomas P. Reeves, President and CEO of Toronto-based Interface Biologics Inc., a privately held developer of novel biomedical-polymers for use in implantable medical devices.

"We've created BioTuesday.ca to change that," said Stephen Kilmer, President of BioTuesday Publishing. "Our goal is to give great, but not necessarily big or well known, healthcare companies and their stories the exposure that they deserve in this country. We plan on covering as many companies as we can and have designed this to be a user-friendly chance for CEOs and other executives to sketch where they are and where they're going."

As the name implies, there will be an original feature article posted on the blog every Tuesday. The blog will also carry Briefs on other days of the week. More information about the blog's background, mission and authors can be found at BioTuesday.ca. Interested parties are also encouraged to follow us on Twitter.
