UT Physicians to open new multi-specialty clinic in Sienna Village by 2010

Weaver, Davis & Jacob (WDJ) Realty Group, a full-service commercial real estate company specializing in mixed-use property development, announced today that UT Physicians, the medical group practice of The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, has entered into a lease agreement for 8,882 square feet with plans to expand to 24,000 square feet at Sienna Village in Missouri City, TX.

“WDJ has a proven track record of fulfilling the needs of the communities where we develop and manage shopping centers,” said G. Peter Jacob, principal, WDJ Realty Group. “When we polled the Sienna Plantation community about what they wanted at Sienna Village, their number one need was a grocery store. So we brought a new 113,771-square-foot H-E-B Plus to Sienna Plantation. Now, we are pleased to bring more excellent tenants like UT Physicians to the community.”

Jacob added that since the closure of the Fort Bend Hospital in 2006, UT Physicians will fill a huge void in providing the community with top-tier healthcare services.

“UT Physicians is dedicated to providing families with high quality, comprehensive health care, and we are thrilled to announce that we will be opening our newest multi-specialty clinic in Sienna Village in spring 2010,” said Andrew Casas, chief operating officer, UT Physicians. “The sense of family and community in and around Sienna Plantation makes it a wonderful place to live and to work. Our doctors are excited to begin providing area residents the quality of care that they would normally go to the Texas Medical Center to receive.”

Sienna Village is an 80,000-square-foot mixed-used development located in Sienna Plantation. Once completed, the project will feature a variety of retail space options, including five pad sites for banks, shops and restaurants.

UT Physicians will be a valuable addition to the center, providing comprehensive, multi-specialty care for patients of all ages – from routine wellness exams and care for common illnesses to highly specialized treatments for complex medical conditions. The group has a tradition of compassionate, individualized care and unparalleled clinical excellence. With more than 700 physicians certified in 80 medical specialties, many of UT Physicians doctors are listed among Woodward/White’s “Best Doctors in America.”
