Davis Bregman, a pain management physician will now offer routine house calls to residents of Manhattan in New York City. Patients will be able to request a house call by calling the office at 212-918-1629 or sending an email from davisbregman.com. The convenience of being able to see the doctor in the less stressful home setting convinced Dr. Bregman to try this new way of seeing most patients. The service will be fee for service cash or credit cards only and no insurance will be accepted. Depending upon physician availability, patients will be able to schedule appointments in the comfort of their home for as little as $500.00. Same day appointments may be available as soon as 1 hour depending upon call volume that day. At the visit if an injection is needed, there will be an additional fee of $500.00.
Initially the service will be available daily and general practice patients will be accommodated as well. Visit requests after hours may be accepted depending upon physician discretion. A typical patient may have muscle spasms and pain in the neck or back spine regions and will benefit from trigger point injections to relieve pain and spasms immediately without a major procedure or hospitalization. A series of six injections is generally recommended for adequate relief - the cost of which is $3500.00.
Sore trigger point areas develop from chronic conditions such as from injuries, fibromyalgia, or repetitive stress causing ongoing spasms that become chronic and never fully let up not allowing the muscle to ever relax. This can happen to any muscle in the body at any age. Females tend to make up a significant portion of patients. The lower back and pelvic region is commonly affected as a point of significant weight bearing. A local anesthetic is used for the trigger point injections so that they are essentially not painful and generally offer complete immediate pain relief in the region injected.
The doctor has documented very high levels of patient satisfaction following these injections. Dr. Davis Bregman has an easygoing soft spoken demeanor yet is perfectionistic, is attentive and is a good listener. He prefers to treat a smaller number of patients and get to know them better over time. Dr. Bregman will consider those patients who wish to become regular patients and have all of their needs addressed full time. Davis Bregman is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management, member of the American Medical Association and graduated from NYU School of Medicine and from MIT and is published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
