MobileHelp (http://www.mobilehelpsys.com), America’s premier medical alert system that integrates cellular and GPS technology, allows protected individuals anywhere in the nation to summon help while inside and beyond the home. MobileHelp provides a technology platform that allows families and caregivers to always be in the loop, enabling them to locate loved ones real-time via the Web.
The MobileHelp personal emergency alert system, launched in November by Medical Mobile Monitoring of Boca Raton, protects users whether they’re in their living room, garden or out to dinner, guarding their independence and relieving caregivers’ apprehension. Monitoring service staff is just a push of the button away from talking with the protected person as well as providing any necessary emergency services, a system comparable to those installed in autos to assist motorists. Existing personal emergency systems only work in and just outside the home, while MobileHelp is the first to use a national cellular network providing coverage nationwide. In observance of MobileHelp’s launch, the company is offering free activation and a free month of service to anyone upgrading from a traditional system through year’s end.
“MobileHelp is driven by the caregiver’s needs as well as the protected person’s. They’re both part of the equation,” said Elias Janetis, the founder and CEO of Medical Mobile Monitoring of Boca Raton who was inspired to develop MobileHelp as his grandparents aged. Janetis recalled his concern knowing his grandmother was running errands away from home. “The caregiver or family is faced with constant worry about their loved ones. MobileHelp gives them peace of mind.”
As freedom-loving Baby Boomers age, caregivers face the challenge of providing personal space yet still keeping them safe. Seniors and anyone else who need an emergency link for their protection are the beneficiaries of MobileHelp. The system, the alternative for an active and robust lifestyle, allows users to seek help after a fall, during a medical crisis or any other emergency when they’re at home or away. The patent-pending technology’s tracking feature also provides a safeguard for those who may become disoriented.
Users push a button on the device to call for assistance and are connected with trained staff at the monitoring station who determine what help is required. The monitoring personnel summons local emergency services if it can’t make contact with the user and locates them through MobileHelp’s GPS feature. Medical Mobile Monitoring plans to release several new features by year’s end for the caregiver and family to be notified via their mobile phones as well as the Web. Medical Mobile Monitoring offers several packages costing about $1 a day.
