Synexus
in Poland organised the first ‘Importance of Clinical Trials in Medical
Practice’ conference last week, in conjunction with Wroclaw
Medical University. The event, targeting senior medical
professionals, aimed to raise awareness of the role of clinical research
in drug development and the importance of the business to Poland.
Radoslaw Janiak M.D, Synexus Country Manager in Poland, was delighted
with the high turn out for the event, and with the level of interest
amongst the medical academics and consultants who attended: “We had more
than 250 people join us, including Professor Ryszard Andrzejak, Dean of
Wroclaw Medical University, Professor Anna Wiela-Hojenska, Dean of the
Pharmacy Faculty at Wroclaw Medical University, and Professor Andrzej
Czlonkowski, Chief of Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology Department,
Warsaw Medical University. It is encouraging to see these individuals,
who are key to the further development of the clinical trials sector
here, taking the time to learn more about this area and the role they
can play in its development. This is a real opportunity for Poland to be
a world player.”
