The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses announces the first $50,000 AACN Impact Research Grant to support clinical inquiry and drive change in high acuity and critical care nursing practice.
The new AACN grant funds priority projects that address gaps in clinical research at the organization or system level and translation of these findings for the bedside clinician. These include technology to assess patients and manage outcomes; create healing and humane environments and processes and systems that optimize high acuity and critical care nursing; manage symptoms management; and prevent complications.
Available to established and beginning researchers with mentors, one grant will be awarded in the first year, two grants the second year and three grants the third year. Applicants may request up to $50,000 in total costs over and/or up to three years.
AACN continues to award the following grants annually: the AACN-Sigma Theta Tau Critical Care Grant for up to $10,000; up to three AACN-Philips Medical Systems Outcomes Grant for up to $10,000 each; up to two AACN-Edwards Lifescience Nurse-Driven Clinical Practice Outcomes Grants for up to $5,000 each; and the AACN Physio-Control Clinical Practice Grant for up to $,1500.
