Hereditary angioedema (HAE) is a rare but serious condition that can be both challenging to diagnose and to treat. To overcome these obstacles, healthcare professionals who encounter patients with HAE must be aware of the most up-to-date information regarding diagnosis and treatment of this potentially life-threatening condition.
To address the need for current education on HAE, Robert Michael Educational Institute LLC (RMEI) and Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM) are jointly sponsoring a complimentary continuing education monograph titled Hereditary Angioedema: Diagnostic and Therapeutic Tools for Improving Patient Outcomes.
The content for this monograph, which is supported by an educational grant from ViroPharma Incorporated, is derived from a live satellite symposium presented in conjunction with the American Academy of Physician Assistants' 38th Annual Physician Assistant Conference.
Faculty for this monograph include the following physician assistant experts in allergy and pulmonary medicine: Michael Calvin, PA-C; Elisabeth L. Kryway, PA-C; and Gabriel R. Ortiz, MPAS, PA-C, DFAAPA.
