Red River partners with Firetide to launch new healthcare IT division

Partnership With Firetide Enables Safer Medical Facilities

New Hampshire-based Red River, a leading information technology (IT) services provider, announced a partnership today between Red River Healthcare and Firetide, a provider of wireless infrastructures that enable multimedia services for federal and commercial customers, as part of the launch of Red River's new healthcare IT division.

Red River will partner with Firetide on the implementation of the company's expertise in solutions that support video surveillance, security and access control of medical centers to ensure optimum security and monitoring of facilities.

"Firetide fulfills an important niche in healthcare security," said Charlie Franco, director of Red River Healthcare. "Safety is our number one priority, and today it is more important than ever that our healthcare facilities are closely monitored and that all persons are accounted for. Our patients deserve the very best care, and Firetide is helping us make that happen."

Firetide provides private broadband wireless networks that enable high-definition video and multimedia services to manage and protect static and mobile infrastructure. The company's public safety sector focuses on two core principles: constant vigilance and seamless communications. Emphasizing the two elements enables safe medical facilities where clinical staff can focus on their duties and provide optimum patient care.

"We're excited to be working with Red River for the many interesting healthcare practices and contract vehicles they serve," said Kirk Byles, Director of North American Channels for Firetide. "Red River provides best in class IT solutions, and together we can implement an environment that is secure, robust and reliable in supporting today's complex clinical applications and medical devices.  Firetide's unique architecture provides the flexibility we need to truly enable a ubiquitous wireless infrastructure which enhances the mobile user's experience, inside and outside of the facility".
