Lane Bryant, the nation's leading women's specialty size apparel retailer, has announced that they will partner with the American Cancer Society to support Breast Cancer Awareness through a synergistic campaign during the month of October. Throughout the campaign, Lane Bryant clients will be encouraged to make a difference in the fight against the disease.
In recognition of the Brand's efforts in 2013, ACS named Lane Bryant a Division Corporate Excellence Award Winner. Last year, Lane Bryant and its clients and associates contributed more than a half million dollars. The Brand aims to increase the 2014 contribution by 10% while continuing to generate awareness of the importance of regular screening and early detection.
As a corporate sponsor of the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative, Lane Bryant aims to inspire women to join the fight against breast cancer by contributing while they shop. In Lane Bryant stores and on the Lane Bryant website (www.lanebryant.com), clients will be able to purchase products dedicated to the cause, including graphic tees, accessories, and intimate apparel from the Brand's exclusive Cacique intimates line. Lane Bryant will contribute 10% of these cause-dedicated product purchases to ACS. Also, clients will have the opportunity to purchase a specially-designed butterfly on display in the store for $1, and customers will be invited to "round-up" any purchase to the nearest dollar, with the difference being contributed to the American Cancer Society.
This year, Lane Bryant will host ACS-related store events across the nation. In each of the dozen new store openings scheduled for October, Lane Bryant will give three Breast Cancer survivor makeovers including hair, makeup, and head-to-toe Lane Bryant outfitting. Each survivor will have her moment in the spotlight as her new look is revealed during the in-store event, where Lane Bryant customers who attend will have the chance to win a $100 gift card.
Lane Bryant will also encourage all Associates across the nation to take part in their local Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk to further bring awareness of Breast Cancer to the forefront.
