German Neuroscience Society “FEI Technology Award” goes to Benjamin Judkewitz

FEI Munich, a subsidiary of FEI Company (NASDAQ: FEIC) is pleased to announce Benjamin Judkewitz as the 2015 recipient of the German Neuroscience Society “FEI Technology Award.”

FEI Neuroscience AWARD

Benjamin Judkewitz is professor at the Bioimaging and Neurophotonics Lab, which is part of the NeuroCure Cluster of the German Excellence Initiative, located at the campus of the University of Berlin. With his team, Professor Judkewitz has developed new optical microscopy techniques that overcome optical scattering, in order to enable imaging and optical stimulation at unprecedented depths in biological tissue. Many labs throughout the world now use this method, which has been published in Nature Methods as well as Nature Protocols.

“FEI Munich, formerly TILL Photonics, has sponsored the Technology Award for more than 10 years now,” states Matthias Langhorst, director product marketing cell/tissue biology, FEI.

The award, which includes a bi-annual financial contribution of 2.500€, is awarded to young scientists for their outstanding results in experimental brain research. FEI is proud to continue sponsoring this award to support the development of new technologies in all fields of neuroscience.
