Alpine HC introduces Reposa Synergy Hybrid Pressure Mattress

Introducing the Reposa® Synergy by Alpine HC, an innovative hybrid mattress system that exemplifies synergy by combining exceptional comfort through specialist foams, with effective pressure distribution using integral air-foam cells. The end result? A superior pressure relieving experience for the user.

The Reposa® Synergy Hybrid Pressure Mattress

Synergy: the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements

The Reposa® Synergy uses a non-powered technology to effectively redistribute pressure that is exerted on the mattress. The integral air-foam cells use open-ended air valves to naturally inhale and exhale air into and out of the mattress body. The air-foam system is inset into a firm foam surround that provides both support and stability, a feature that is particularly useful for transferring the user into and out of the bed safely.

A 2-inch castellated visco-foam topping represents the surface of the mattress. The topper is made from a grid of 240 semi-rounded nodes on the very top surface of the mattress. Each individual node of soft foam is dynamic and compresses easily, ensuring minimal resistance to pressure applied on the surface of the mattress.

The structure of the Reposa® Synergy tapers down at the foot end of the mattress to relieve pressure on the heels of the user. Heels are known to be particularly susceptible to pressure ulcers, bearing excessive pressure on a small area of skin. By tapering the foot end of the mattress, the thighs take the majority of the pressure, distributing it over a greater area of skin. The taper also means that the heels barely coming into contact with the surface of the mattress, greatly reducing the risk of shear on this vulnerable area of skin.

Designed to be suitable for high dependency users, the Reposa® Synergy was constructed with safety for the user and operator at the forefront. Handle loops that are fixed to the four corners on the underside of the mattress greatly increase the ease of evacuation in the event of an emergency. Straps that are buckled underneath the mattress platform of a bed, also ensure the Synergy can be securely strapped to the bed it is used in conjunction with.
