Hamamatsu Photonics announces the release of a new high-speed kinetic plate imager, the FDSS-GX, ideal for kinetic cell-based assay development, including GPCR / ion channel research and screening for drug discovery, and drug safety. It offers reliable and stable high-throughput screening (HTS), facilitating whole microplate imaging using the Hamamatsu qCMOS camera for both fluorescence and luminescence detection.
The FDSS-GX has built-in liquid handling for dispensing of compounds to all wells simultaneously. Also included are built-in plate stackers with an automatic lid-opener/lid-closer feature for automatic transfer of both assay and compound plates. The 1536, 384 and 96 ch dispensing heads allow flexibility to cover different needs within the same instrument when performing assays. Each dispensing head has independent metal piston cylinders for precision dispensing accuracy and repeatability.
