As a young Child I thought that animals and humans where treated as equal in medicine and their benefit. Why ever not? When I got older, I was doing a homework for school with with the self-chosen subject: Cruelty to animals, animals in scientific research. It was about 1978. I did the background check with newspapers, libraries and the help of one of our teachers. She was vegan and active in animal rights and protection and offered me pertinent documents, accompanied by wording that this was the hard stuff and she would understand if I didn´t want to see it. But I had to! This homework was game-changing for me in so many ways. But the most shocking cognizance came, when we got our homework back from our Class-teacher. In red ink it simply said - Animal testing, has to be done! Note: C
I do not think we need to start with the children - it´s the adults, the teachers, parents that should start listening.
