How can you allow such a blatantly false and misguided article to be published on your site?  This is one of the most misinformed "opinions" I've seen in written form on a medical site.  Deaf people have been having healthy, fat babies for thousands of years.  My Deaf mom had 9 kids and the smallest was 6 lbs (with most being more than 8 lbs).  To also imply that Deaf people are not health conscious is an insult and oppressive.  I could go on and on, but I'd like to say two more things:  First, being Deaf is not a bad thing and is only marginalized when narrow-minded, ignorant people are involved.  Second, it's Deaf-Gain, not "hearing loss".  We've never lost anything.
