My husband and I both had altered smell and taste . Sometimes no taste and other times things tasted different like chemicals and or certain foods would burn my throat . My husband already had a condition called ENS that resulted in dry nose and a sense of feeling wide open or empty on his nasal passages  . So Covid amplified it even more.  His sense of smell and taste have been diminished on some days and altered on others .
