Enhancing continuous process monitoring and optimization with benchtop NMR in PAT

This webinar will look at the Fourier PAT (Process Analytical Technology) solution, which integrates Bruker Benchtop NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) into synTQ PAT software.

The speakers will explain how NMR complements and supports other spectroscopic techniques, such as IR and Raman, in the coordinated PAT framework. They will also discuss how benchtop NMR and synTQ software can be used to monitor complex matrix processes, like an enzyme reaction in a complex mix sample.

Specifically, the webinar shows two orthogonal data analysis approaches to the same process:

  1. A chemometric approach using MVA (Multivariate Data Analysis).
  2. A hard modeling approach.

About the speaker

Matteo Pennestri earned his Ph.D. in biophysical techniques from the University of Tor Vergata in Rome (in conjunction with Merck Sharp and Dohme). He then worked as an NMR spectroscopist in the pharmaceutical business (MSD and EISAI).

Following his time in the pharmaceutical industry, he worked as an application scientist for Agilent Technologies (formerly Varian) and then Bruker. After joining Bruker Pharma as an NMR specialist and Product Manager, he was recently promoted to Team Leader PAT for Automation and Process Analytical Technology.
