Robert Wood Johnson Foundation supports the ISE Annual Conference with $25,000 grant

The Adler School of Professional Psychology has received a $25,000 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to support the Annual Conference of the Institute on Social Exclusion. This year's conference, titled "The Social Determinants of Mental Health: from Awareness to Action," will be the first ever in the United States to convene innovative thinkers from diverse disciplinary backgrounds to address this topic, and has already received international interest.

"We're extremely proud to receive the recognition and support of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation," said Lynn Todman, PhD, director of the Institute on Social Exclusion (ISE). "The conference will be a major step forward in reshaping how we view and address the mental health issues facing society's most vulnerable members."

Featuring keynote speaker David Satcher, MD, PhD, the 16th Surgeon General of the United States and former Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the conference will focus specifically on the social conditions that impact mental health, aiming to increase awareness and create multidisciplinary collaborations to identify and address the multifaceted social conditions that affect mental health.
