Apollo Health Street, a developer of world-class solutions that tackle healthcare's toughest financial and IT challenges, announced today a second agreement with Mississippi County Hospital System (MCHS) which comprises two hospitals - SMC Regional Medical Center in Osceola, AR and Great River Medical Center in Blytheville, AR.
“One of the objectives of our patient access process is to capture accurate data to speed the revenue cycle process. We know that teaming with Apollo on both patient access and self-pay collections will enhance our bottom line”
Apollo currently provides self-pay collection services for the hospital system. In addition, MCHS will now also utilize Apollo's Patient Access Partnership to review and correct their patient accounts prior to bill drop, which will improve the integrity of the hospitals' data systems.
Apollo's healthcare experts will review approximately 45,000 admissions annually and correct any errors in patient data —that impact the hospital's bottom line.
Apollo's Patient Access Partnership blends automated processes with manual techniques to review all accounts and correct all patient data prior to dropping a bill. The result is an increased rate of cash collections, decreased cost to collect and timely root cause analysis - which all improve overall quality.
"One of the objectives of our patient access process is to capture accurate data to speed the revenue cycle process. We know that teaming with Apollo on both patient access and self-pay collections will enhance our bottom line," said Phil Norris, chief financial officer for Mississippi County Hospital System.
"We look forward to furthering our partnership with the MCHS financial team to improve revenue cycle results for the Mississippi County Hospital System," said Karen Ferrell, president and CEO for Apollo Health Street. "With Apollo supporting MCHS' financial goals, MCHS can focus on their mission of providing quality healthcare to the community."
