Tiger Balm sponsors 15th annual Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Race for the Cure

Tiger Balm (www.mytigerbalm.com) announced today its sponsorship of the 15th annual Susan G. Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Race for the Cure®, taking place Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Miami's Bayfront Park.

“Tiger Balm stands with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in support of those who have been affected by breast cancer”

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the global leader of the breast cancer movement, having invested nearly $1.5 billion since inception in 1982. Events like the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure have helped make the organization the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.

The Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Komen Affiliate's service area covers Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe Counties. Up to 75 percent of the Affiliate's net income goes toward funding grants to local hospitals, clinics and community organizations that provide breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs for medically underserved women. The remaining net income (a minimum of 25 percent) supports the national Komen Grants Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific programs around the world.

"Tiger Balm stands with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in support of those who have been affected by breast cancer," said Kenneth Yeung, Founder and President of Prince of Peace Enterprises, Inc., the sole licensed United States distributor for all Tiger Balm products. "We are proud to sponsor the 15th anniversary of the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Race and to use our involvement to help raise awareness of this important cause among fans and users of Tiger Balm products."
