GiveForward partners with Lung Cancer Alliance to support families affected by lung cancer

GiveForward, a crowdfunding leader helping families and friends raise money for a loved one's medical bills, is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Lung Cancer Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated solely to helping individuals living with and at risk for lung cancer.

“Through this partnership, we hope to help families affected by lung cancer raise money for their medical bills in addition to the support, advocacy and education they receive though the Lung Cancer Alliance.”

"Our mission is to 'Create Unexpected Joy' for families by giving them a place to rally together and support their loved ones during times of medical crisis," said Desiree Vargas Wrigley, CEO of GiveForward. "Through this partnership, we hope to help families affected by lung cancer raise money for their medical bills in addition to the support, advocacy and education they receive though the Lung Cancer Alliance."

GiveForward will be an additional resource for those impacted by lung cancer and will provide another way for people to support Lung Cancer Alliance's mission of ending injustice and saving lives today.

"We are proud to partner with GiveForward. This is just another arrow in the quiver for those families impacted by lung cancer and in need of help," said Laurie Fenton Ambrose, Lung Cancer Alliance President & CEO.

According to a Duke University study, the average out-of-pocket cost for cancer patients with health insurance is $8,500 per year. This partnership comes at a time when health care is unaffordable for many Americans, and those families affected by lung cancer now have a viable solution to substantial medical costs should they occur.
