  1. To call a delusion a higher level of consciousness doesn’t make sense.

    A psychotic person may be influenced by spirituality. However, to call it a “higher level of consciousness” doesn’t make sense since the delusions cause significant distress and disturbances in the individual’s life as well as all the people around the psychotic person. Everyone is unhappy and miserable because of the disturbance. Shamans can control what they are doing, I presume.
